[text tag=”p” typography=”Text {text-align: left;}”]“There should be a difference in the community because the Church exists, and if it left for some reason, there should be a void that’s felt”.

“It is a privilege to be part of the Hands of Hope ministry-team that serves those in need in and around our community, Modimolle” – Janine.

“It is a blessing to be able to provide the community with the skills and resources they need to have a better future” – Sonti.

In 2013 it started with reaching out to our local hospital, FH Odendaal Hospital’s paediatric ward, and we are currently involved in numerous other projects in and around Modimolle.

As needs come up, we do our best to meet them.

[text tag=”ul” css=”margin:0px;padding:0px;” typography=”Text {text-align: left;}”]

  • Foster care (Hope filled Home) for children in need of safety, love and care.
  • The paediatric ward of FH Odendaal Hospital in Modimolle, during which time they play with the children by colouring-in, building blocks, puzzles etc. The heart is to uplift the childrens’ spirits and make them feel better.
  • The mothers of most of the children stay with their children in hospital for the duration of their hospitalisation. We spoil these mothers from time to time by painting their nails.
  • The Fold children’s home, about 45km outside of Vaalwater. We go there to spend time with the kids and the house-moms. As well as go to help out with maintenance there.
  • Annual days being celebrated throughout the year – for example Back-to school shoe project, International nurses day, Nelson Mandela day, Casual day and many more.
  • Lerato Christian Academy, a day-care in our township area, Phagameng. We go to have fun with the kids, or help out when maintenance needs to be done there.
